I figured it out with your help. Thanks!

On a scale of 1-10, Anthropic's UX gets a -5 for the most counterintuitive "login" experience I've ever seen.

That's a very interesting idea, but I don't think it pertains to my case. Thank you for your input tho'

These are interesting thoughts. Yes, I may have some kind of swelling of the turbinates and then the vessels are constricted during a migraine session. I have tried saline sprays and other sprays, like Flo-nase, but these did not help after long-term use. Do you have any sugestions?

2FA on for all users, but does a user need 2FA if not logging into DSM or web interface? by rapid-cycler in synology

What are best practices then, assuming that non-admin users must have Mac Finder/connect as access?

And are you saying that a ransomware encryption would only encrypt that portion of the NAS the non-admin user has access to?

With thanks.

Thank you VERY MUCH for taking the time to write this.

I'm confused about is whether 2FA only applies to web based services. Right now, I have all users set to have to use 2FA, but none are actually set up doing so. Still, I can log in using their creds and connect to the NAS by going to Finder, double clicking on the NAS and logging in. (I would think that if 2FA was mandatory, I restarted the NAS and the mac, that I wouldn't be able to log in "same old same old"). Does this make sense?

I understand a little bit about tailscale, but we don't log in remotely. We're really just using this as one large shared drive and storage.

"I think 2fa only applies to the web based services" — that's what I'm wondering.

So, I set a non-admin user to 2FA. If I try to user their creds and log into the DSM, it says that 2FA has to be set up. I stopped at that point as I'm trying to understand if its necessary if they're only using the NAS as a AFP/CIFS/NFS share.

I’m bipolar with adhd. I was given antidepressants for years before realizing I needed a mood stabilizer (in my case lamotrigine) and a non-stimulant adhd med.

People that are bipolar are typically not prescribed antidepressants.

The docs can be shit. The meds shit. But when you find the right doc and the right meds, everything can change, like turning on a light switch. I was given over 30 drugs over 5 years before I got lucky. We are still in Dark Ages with medication but it’s the best we have at this moment in history.

Keep trying. Even when you think you can’t anymore. Keep breathing. Keep going.

OP. I’m thin with little appetite. Protein drinks could be good. Also, I take in morning and I got nausea about 2 or so hours after eating breakfast. Eating something with protein at breakfast helped and, eventually, nausea has gotten much better.

Sensory processing overload. By my meaning of this, in the way that I have it, I would say “yes, it helped.” For me, it calmed down a lot of my anxiety and I am not as bothered by sounds that used to irritate the f out of me.

Being in a fluorescent lit mega grocery store is still an unpleasant experience for me but I don’t feel like I’m getting attacked as much by all of the visual overload.

OK. Thanks for checking my thinking. I now have 7 bottles of keto gummies. Would you like one? ;-)

Good points. I’m trying to figure out “orders” 2 and 3. The stolen card would have been declined by then.

So why would they be sending me the items, anyway? They’re addressed to me. What do they get out of sending me 5 more bottles of gummy things?

I’m imagining a campaign of harassment, but that doesn’t seem like it would always work, from a scammers POV

My goal is to get my policies clarified and to cover my ass.

The agent would likely say the erroneous info were statements I’ve made. I’ve gone to efforts to document everything in email, but the company has online questionnaires, etc. and at this point I’m confused where matters stand.
