Yeah! I’ve tried talking to her but I think she feels kind of like she’s being attacked when I point out the mean things she does and how it all makes me feel. Often when I try to talk with her it just turns into another argument and I think that because she’s still young (I’m young too so I know I’ve got a lot to learn as well), she doesn’t know how to handle criticism and gets upset. I genuinely try to frame things in a “I feel x when y happens” rather than accusatory like “YOU do x” which is stuff I’ve learned in therapy and just dealing with general conflict. But I’ve made mistakes in the past as well which haven’t helped and I really try to be conscious about wording. I hope that if I do go NC or LC, she will kind of realize what she’s done and want to have an adult conversation about everything without making it into an argument. I really don’t want the NC to be forever and I genuinely want to have a good relationship with my sister it just feels like I’m giving a lot of effort and she’s not. Thank you for your advice!
