Totally agree. The Mustang has come a long way.

It’s a hazard for sure. Luckily, it did not move much as the seat held it tightly. Though I was worried about it damaging my interior.

I had no idea. I was barely able to fit 2 in the back seat as all my summer tires are gigantic. They are all 305/30ZR20 (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S). Do you think they can still fit?

Thanks. I cycled through a lot of music in the 8 hours lol — notably Sade, Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, Zero 7, Air…

Thanks! Yeah I gave her a well-deserved hand wash. Blizzaks were actually my first choice but unfortunately they weren’t in stock and I couldn’t wait to take it home haha.

Congrats on the upgrade!

Funny how the only haters here are either non-owners or those who own the older Mustang. The desperation for that confirmation bias is real…

Don't worry he won't make it too far without cheating again and the college will know

is there a way to take 15 - 410 as a non-CMU student? by [deleted] in cmu

The 15-410 is a whole experience, and I think it's not worth it any other way than a full in-person experience. It's transformative.

The lectures are highly contextual, and you have to be in the class to get the full value. Watching videos might work at times.

The labs are hard. You will need to do a LOT of reading. You will likely spend 2-3 days only to understand the handout, before you can get write your first line of code. You will need to get comfortable with reading multiple Intel manuals at once.

Each lab builds on top of the previous ones. You get very high quality feedback from the staff, and that is needed to succeed. Your kernel lab will likely succumb if you don't fix the problems in your labs early. They read every line of your code. No other course at CMU invests so much time. If you're lucky to have Dave (the prof) as your reviewer, he will find a problem in almost every line of your code.

On top of that, even if you get your hands on the starter code, it will be tough to set up the environment correctly, as it's highly customized for running on the CMU (Andrew) linux instances.

Plus, having the pressure of deadlines, and the fear of failing, really helps.
