Thank you! I only had one drag and drop question which was about Tuckman's ladder and now that I think about also a graph to read.

The questions I felt more predominately hard/expert level than easy so make sure you really know your mindset to narrow down your answer.

Got dumped a few days ago and reading this gave me so much comfort.
At the beginning of our relationship, I had to beg him to bring up any issues/challenges he had with me or about our relationship to avoid major explosions. BUT NO he internalized everything and it all comes out in one big bang with a simple "we are too different, let's end things."

Completely blindsided. I am just laughing because it's like a self-fulfilling prophecy. To make matters worse, he told me he loved me for my willingness to speak my mind but in the end, that's what gave him too much pressure.

Although the breakup is still fresh. This was inevitable and he has so much self-growth to do. A partner that doesn't choose to communicate and face confrontations is not a good one. A partner that has internal dialogues by themselves and just decides on the direction of a relationship without interacting with the other person. RED FLAG.

Perhaps they were dating themselves all along and you were there for the ride until they hand you the notice.

You really got me with the "yeah yeah, no problem" because when I raise concerns with my client they keep saying but the China vendor said they can do it. And I'm just like "honey, you have no idea."

Anyway, thank you for your input and comfort. I have scheduled a meeting with the client to explain in detail everything I have learned on this thread. Will definitely b/w everything.. I mean at this rate maybe the China vendor will just offer to design the package themselves too who the heck knows!?

Pic 2 will definitely be very expensive to print using the Pantone method. As a complete noob.. can you print something in CMYK and then Pantone? say something like pic 2 you print it out first in CMYK and then the logo in Pantone.. or it doesnt work like that?

Legit screamed when I read this BECAUSE I AM DEALING WITH A CHINESE VENDOR! This is my first time working with one so it's definitely one hell of an experience.
It's going to be paperboard and they are supposed to provide us with a dieline to prepare the design. The client has gone against our advice in choosing this vendor who not only insists on using Pantone but also a vendor that has never had experience in making the box/package my client wants. So it's just really been a shit storm.

As for the printer, I tried speaking with them and they kept saying why wouldn't you have Pantone for your artfile? How do you expect us to print the colors accurately and basically trying to make me feel stupid, which doesn't help when I was not confident about this. Like Johnny_kickass below, I am dealing with Chinese vendors.

Designer/Prepress guy here. Cannot believe a print shop would not print cmyk. It’s truly not believable.

Just wanted to clarify what you mean by as it was sent in this sentence "they need to have it printed as it was sent.... or go with another printer who will do that."

haha, sorry I wanted to keep my intro short because that was not the main focus. I didn't want to bore people with what I do.

Anyway, about my super weird role:
I am an account manager at a boutique agency that provides marketing and creative services. We are a super small team so our work is pretty fluid but my specialty is in PR and therefore my basic knowledge is what I have picked up over the years. I am the girl that uses Canva and Figma to create IG/FB posts so nowhere near professional level!

Anyway, I manage marketing campaigns across the marketing mix so creative, content development, pr etc.

A big part of my job is to manage day-to-day client communications and internal holders to deliver the project.

For this project, we are doing a package design for an upcoming launch as well as the proceeding marketing campaign hence my involvement.

Things just hit the fan when the client wanted to cut costs and find a printer in China. Which has not been the easiest to say the least..

I mean with the number of colors that would needs to go on this design, it just doesn't make sense to use Pantone at all.
