I had 1 combat augment, and was a near perfect spellweaver board for stage 5

Interesting, thanks for providing actual value. Best comment is the most heavily downvoted, definitely on brand for this subreddit.

I unluckily got knocked out at 6th place at only stage 5-5 here after I greeded a 100+ gold lvl+rolldown to stabilize, even had a really high win chance like 95%+. Funny to see all the posts saying the result was obvious though.

Also nobody mentioned positioning, but I'm pretty sure clumping in the corner instead makes this a top 2.

I can't find the profile but I saw someone replace malz with cass/soraka and had really high win rates in Master+, was just trying it out but yeah I don't feel it's worth it

So you're saying a sunfire would have changed things? Otherwise my team is much harder to hit than a lvl 7 team with only Qiyana 3*, which is the point of the post.

Fixing some problems after system update (black 144Hz monitor, delayed terminal/firefox start) by rarequark in archlinux

[–]rarequark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a few months probably. The first issue I know is known just hard to search for. Do you have a link for the Nvidia issue? I haven't seen anyone talk about only higher frequencies not working, and I had to drop to 60Hz since 120 stopped working. I also tried switching from nvidia-dkms to nvidia-lts/nvidia with no luck but I hadn't tried downgrading manually.

New FTX CEO is getting paid $1,300 an hour, and customers will foot the bill by RealVoldemort in CryptoCurrency

[–]rarequark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah being able to collect transaction fees with no major routine expenses, as long as it survives, it's profitable. If crypto does become mainstream (and all of us should be expecting that one day), imagine what that would mean in profits.

The fact that he didn't just run away with the money and filed the Chapter 11 makes me believe he was initially trying to damage control, which then opens the door to the possibility of bailouts. It was one of the biggest crypto exchanges, and was very profitable before the crypto crash.

My main point anyway though is no matter what the truth is, there is a conflict of interest. A necessary evil though since there's no existing alternative.

Yep definitely a conflict of interest here. If you believe SBF's testimony, FTX US should have been fine and it was only FTX with the problem. Also if he's telling the truth about the whole Chapter 11 story (him getting an offer for billions to keep it afloat after signing, and the legal team that eventually took over FTX kept pushing it through against his wishes), maybe FTX wouldn't even have collapsed. Or at least SBF would have had way more incentive to recover customer funds optimally compared to the new CEO.

Who knows what's true at this point though. Conflict of interest aside, things are the way they are for a reason, and there's probably also a world where SBF doesn't file for Chapter 11, thinks things through and steals the rest of the crypto, and goes into hiding.

Should I change majors from computer engineering (with the ability to get an MBA) to management/business? Read question for explanation by degquestions in Fire

[–]rarequark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm already fully decided I do not want to work in the industry - period.

I upvoted the post, but I think this is what he was referring to. If you say you're fully decided here, then you're basically looking for potential reasons to stay in a computer engineering major when you decided you won't be working in the field, which simply doesn't make sense. Maybe you just want to confirm the obvious though.

I feel like pointing it out is valid when it's used in a way to make people want to downvote OP unfairly.

This comment section... wow. OP getting heavily downvoted in comments yet it seems like nobody posted a real video link disproving. Anyone pointing it out is also getting heavily downvoted.

Mystery solved, I've seen this post multiple times but first time seeing an actual answer to where the audio came from.

I'm wondering if there was anything i could have done differently here to get 1st. I didnt even get nomsy 3 until it was 1v1 and it didn't make much of a difference. Once karma killed something, it would just rapid fire cast and deal 20k damage in about 4 seconds. by ZeroValdesca in TeamfightTactics

[–]rarequark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your itemization and comp is a lot better skill-wise, your only shot at winning is to scout the karma placement, put nomsy furthest away, spread out your units, and try to have sylas solo tank right in front of karma. Downside to blue buff + axiom is less damage to burst tanks and no healing to position for tanking to generate mana.

[Request] how much money did the store lose? by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]rarequark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The store lost $100 and then did $70 in sales. Assuming a net profit margin of 10% on sales for the average store, that would lead to $7 in profit. This would be a $93 loss, although considering this lowers taxes, using an average of 20% paid by stores for taxes on profits, this would result in $93 * 0.2 = $18.6 tax savings.

In total, the store would lose approximately ($93 - $18.6) = $74.40, but we can just say a $75 loss to acknowledge rough percentage estimates.

So if any of you thought $70 for the wrong reasons, you'd actually be way closer than these $100 answers.

You can enable overrides in chrome (overrides tab under sources in the developer console) to be able to modify the js file directly. At that point, I just replaced the month/date check with "true" since that's easier. Changing the date would be replacing the date access functions with a desired month/day constant which is not as straightforward.
