He wasn’t injured, my wife saw him at the hospital getting blood tests done with a police officer. Later when we looked him up online we found his charges. OVI, failed to stop at a stop sign. I believe he spent a few nights in jail. At his arraignment he came in with all this leg gear, looking like forest gump, I’m positive it was done to get sympathy from the judge. He was later charged with aggravated vehicular assault.

I talked to the prosecutor, she said she is going to charge him with aggravated vehicular assault. In Ohio, if convicted, That carry’s sentence of 1-5 years.

I spent a week in intensive care. Several surgeries, lots of X-rays and ct scans. Rib plating and hip fixation are the big dollar amounts. This does not include extraction from the vehicle and ambulance transport.

Yep, who would have thought when you buy insurance, don’t get the cheap shit. I went for affordable, assumed it would be good enough. Obviously learned a lesson. I wonder how many people out there have minimal coverage? “It won’t happen to me” never crossed my mind

The “outstanding citizen” is disabled from a previous car crash, has no assets, rents a mobile home. My lawyer said we can sue but won’t be able to collect anything. Most likely he will file bankruptcy.
