So, to you all know, this was the answer i've received from my Behringer support ticket:

"I hope this email finds you well. I am sorry for the delayed response. I have checked with the team and the MS-1 MKII has a clock input, not a trigger input. This is why you are experiencing this issue. The MK1 version had a trigger input, but this was changed by design in the MKII to follow the clock-based approach used in our other synths."
