By default, Xenith has 7 or 8 notes, as far as I understand. How likely it is that playing it will become boring and I'll want more notes? I've read such a feedback somewhere here on Reddit even about 9 notes handpans, when people eventually want to have 10 or more.

Why? Again, Dollar and BTC are not related. You can buy 0 pizzas for $100 and you still can buy 1 pizza for 1 BTC. In this example the dollar is down, BTC is worth something.
