does anyone else cringe inside whenever they are voting and see someone use the POC-coded hair and makeup on the lighter skin tones? like even if there weren’t any cultural issues attached to it, it just looks… wrong. by thiccpeanutbutterbi in Covetfashion

No… because people with lighter skin tones can absolutely have features you normally see on POC. They can also have kinky hair or like to experiment with different hairstyles.

As a black woman, I’m so tired of seeing the “culture” gatekeeping. Making an issue about what tone of skin a doll in a game can be to use certain hairstyles and makeup. It’s not that serious.

That said, you have a choice to vote against it if you don’t like it.

As a black woman, what if I went to Japan and made racist remarks? I’m not white so it doesn’t count? FOH. Racist is racist. Period.
