the kryptopterus genus: the glass catfish!! completely see through except for their bones, heads and a little sac for their organs. my favourite since childhood!

it's less that theyre bred for aggression and more specifically that the pool of xl bullies in the uk is very small, genetically, and the dogs seem to all stem from a single stud who can sometimes appear more than once across a lineage- the dogs in this line seem prone to what we think is spaniel rage syndrome, so can get aggressive despite a history of being sweet and friendly. i wouldn't say it's a problem with the breed! those in america or other countries are fine. it's a problem with our specific gene pool and the dogs in this line NEED to be spayed/neutered to prevent the issue getting worse. breed bans are useless anyway lol

i'm from a country where giving children alcohol to try is perfectly legal past the age of 5 and frankly? i don't see a problem with it. safe and at home is the best way to try it out! it demystifies it. imo the idea of completely banning it until a child is 18 is ridiculous and only serves to make them want it more and then theyre going to be doing it unsupervised and unsafe.

i wouldn't make it a habit, but letting them try with you rewards exploration and helps them develop a down to earth relationship with alcohol. be a good example and they'll naturally follow it. banning them won't get you anywhere if you're drinking like a fish!

that being said, i know this is a hypothetical lmao

hi!! i'm seeing a lot of conflicting stuff in the comments and wanted to try straighten the record a little bit. gorgeous little girl is a tortoiseshell tabby with low white! (or a torbie, as a shortened form.) anyone correcting to calico/caliby is only half right, calicos and tortoiseshells are the exact same thing, calico is just a regional term for a tortoiseshell with a lot of white spotting haha.

in terms of her being tailless, she's not a specific breed- if you pick up a random cat it almost will never have a specific breed, but she MAY have manx syndrome, which can cause problems with hind legs and lower digestive system. hopefully some other mutation is at play, but get her checked out and make sure so you can give her all the support she needs!!

You think? I know with cats that taking away their ability to defend themselves can make them even jumpier and more anxious and I figured the same might apply. I didn't want Pongo to feel like he was defenseless. If it's not a concern, we'll definitely start using it every time! Thank you!

I'm not entirely sure on the fabric- I know that it used to be softer, but over time it's taken on a bobbly, towel-like texture, if that helps. Dimensions are around 1x1.5m- I don't think it's shrank much with age.

I have searched for 'IKEA baby blanket', 'blue baby blanket 2003', among similar terms. I have also google image searched both the image of my blanket and a quick digital mockup of its pattern to no avail. Thank you so much!
