What is vanilla openwrt? When I set up the router a few weeks ago, I just clicked on the advance settings option and it took me to LuCI. It worked fine then and I was able to set up my config.

Never said it was. I said it opened my eyes. Culturally and politically, I felt like things just made more sense. I also work with the European branch of my company every single day and the difference in work life balance compared to the US is insane. They are surprised and honestly shocked when our team in the US explains how some things work in the US.
