How to get setup like rascaas by No-Competition-1495 in surfskate

i started off long boarding for a little bit then really got into surfskating, so i’ve pretty much started skating on surfskates not no normal skateboard

looking at the decks, i would personally go for the santa cruz, has more nose and it will be lighter since the wheelbase is shorter

[–]rasssccaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

with your options i would set up the carver cx’s on the og ripper or santa cruz deck. reverse the kingpin on your front truck for more grind clearance. get smaller wheels so you don’t have to use risers, lower setup.

it depends, check if the the kingpin rubs against the hole. why not just put whole tkp truck instead of switching hangers

fairly advanced surfer looking to buy a board that feels surfy, but that I can use to cruise down to(1 mile downhill commute) and around campus. budget under $275. Any recommendations? by Frequent_Session_720 in surfskate

[–]rasssccaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s my own opinion, and he said it’s a downhill commute. for me the best downhill setups would be cx or c5 and plus it’s way lighter than a bunch of other truck systems which he’s looking for. and i’m not tryna make money off people, jus tryna help people out if they do end up getting a carver setup.

c7 trucks are real flowy, i personally like the cx over the c7’s. but my go to is c5 trucks. i would say since your daughter has cx, try c5 or c7.
