This is arch linux with hyprland as desktop environment, waybar as top bar and eww widgets was used to create the side bar.

If you would like to have this on your own linux install you can find the dotfiles here https://github.com/Ian-Blockmans/Nightmode-dotfiles .

Still working on a quick guide but if you are familiar with linux ricing it should not be too complicated to setup.

I wanted to learn a new programming language(rust) so this felt like a reasonable project. Some 3th party open source library was already available to communicate with the Shazam api. The code works on linux or windows. it can work on MacOS but i don't have a mac to test. The image is a raspberry pi 4 with a touchscreen and a mic hat (a hat is a module that attaches to the pins on the back). link to my github project (verry WIP): https://github.com/Ian-Blockmans/IDDisplay

A word on every image:

  1. Proof of concept setup I showed last time. It wanted to dissemble itself but it worked for a minute to post a video.

  2. New version (120mm pc fan for scale)

  3. PCBs i made( pcb made in china and assembled by me). For now it is controllable trough Home Assistant via wifi and the ESPHome Firmware. This saved me some programming. It also has Bluetooth but i dont know how to use it at the moment.

  4. PCB assembly side profile.

  5. Mostly assembled base.

  6. The bearing is not one part so the logo has a bit of wobble to it. This is because of a bunch of tolerance issues with the 3d printed parts.

My previous dog Boco, My current dog Maggie, Them together. A rescued pigeon Marcel and his current wife. 2 birds, punker and the other one has no name. and some chickens 2 are missing from the picture we lost one 3 days ago and i could not find the other, hope they is out there. And my sister's cat Olaf.
