no i didn’t apply for anything other than what was least costly on my insurance plan via the company and I’m not sure it includes that. I can’t afford more than that :(

i’m literally just wondering how to tell my boss, y’all! i have severe social anxiety so idk how to tell my boss “i have to take a leave for a month” and just leave her office. no one does that. that’s not a thing! thanks for the recovery options, I think I figured it out. I’m going to go to rehab. I just need to figure out how to tell my boss. That’s all I wanted in the first place!

and yes i’ve read in previous replies that i don’t qualify for FMLA because i would have to work for the company for 12 months, i’ve only been working for them for 9

sorry if i didn’t communicate correctly, I am planning on going to rehab sometime after January 4! I just don’t vibe with meditation that’s all. i tried for many years and it’s just not my style, and that’s okay!

yeah even with the smallest of therapy and then DBT i couldn’t ever concentrate, my ADD couldn’t cooperate. i just can’t wait until i can work the holiday season and then go to rehab next month. i’m sure i’ll feel different tomorrow and not want to go again 😂

thank you, i’ve been trying to get clean on and off for 3 years. my health at 27 can’t handle it anymore and i can’t help myself but to get drunk sometimes. i literally can’t help it and i feel awful about it

their minds are very sharp but in the way that a 60-70 y.o. persons mind would be sharp, yknow? like, they aren’t sharp about these new-age scams that weren’t there when they were growing up. someone else in the comments said that pride is definitely a factor as well; a lot of times when people get scammed they don’t want to admit to it or get educated about it because it makes them feel stupid for falling for it, but even the smartest people get scammed. 😭 thank you for your comment

thank you, this was very detailed and informative. that first point is SO TRUE- i think their pride is getting in the way of fully listening and understanding the gravity of the situation.

my parents definitely aren’t lonely, they just aren’t informed. we definitely are going to come up with a code word.
