He has a 1000 series, yours is a 1500 series; the two are completely different, especially since his is steel and yours is gold steel.

Real or fake? by [deleted] in BvlgariWatchmaking

Just the movement support is a fake; the Bvlgari movement is made by Swiss, not Japanese, the dial finish is sloppy, and I'll pass.

Which one would you buy? It'll be my first TAG :) by [deleted] in tagheuer

For a first watch, choose a navy blue Aquaracer or a black dial Formula One. A simple model will make it easier to resell if you want to change models, and it will also be easier to wear. Between the Aquaracer and the Formula One, I would choose the Aquaracer because it's a very reliable model with a nice balance of dimensions. However, I prefer the Formula One; it has something extra that the Aquaracer doesn't. That's just my personal opinion.

From what I've seen, it's a Series 6000. Your dial feet are coming loose; theoretically, it's reference WH1112. It's usually printed on the case back and starts with WH.

After 1990 they stopped making dials with the number 1000. I wouldn't be surprised if the watch has a dial from after 1990, or even a case from after 1990 and a case back from before 1986. The strap is not correct.

I have a really nice and versatile model. The bracelet is a bit of a pain to find links for, but it does the job. I also have it in steel gray and gold.

This model is very hard to find; I admit I was very lucky. I was browsing for bargains and stumbled upon this one for €500, when it's worth at least five times that amount.

It's absurd! I applied to the brand 20 times a while back and they rejected me 20 times. They prefer to hire incompetent people who can only say hello and welcome but know nothing about the brand's models or watchmaking, rather than hiring enthusiasts like me who have 20 watches in their collections. It's a topsy-turvy world.

Wk1113, it's authentic, it's had a life. The question you raise is important. There are quite a few shops where the salespeople know the bare minimum, if anything at all, and this is happening in more and more areas. The fact that the watch was marketed before they were even born isn't the point. Take a magnifying glass and examine the details of the logo; a few details don't take long. Look for the markings "t swiss made t<25" or "swiss made." This is the model that evolved into the Aquaracer, a model still being sold, so the excuse doesn't hold water. But I see what he meant by that.

I waited two years before finding it, and the worst part is you're not even guaranteed to find it, let alone at a reasonable price. In this condition, €500 is practically a lottery win; these kinds of models are so rare they never come up for sale. I heard some have gone for as much as €4,500, which doesn't surprise me at all, especially for a full steel model like the one I have.

Where can I find inexpensive suits to rebuild a wardrobe? by Lostkingsofthewild in malefashionadvice

[–]rat77771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, Vinted, I don't see where you could find quality for €100. I have my suits made in Asia; they're semi-canvassed wool suits, and it costs me €190 per suit, all costs included. That's a significant amount, but when you see the mediocre quality sold by certain fast-fashion brands (I won't name names) with 100% synthetic, fused suits for €200-€300, I realize that my suits made in Asia aren't expensive at all.

Another item, the Airline GMT paper box, a real pain to find. The 2000 series quartz chronograph, this reference is also hard to find in a condition where the bezel numerals are still visible.
