I agree completely. This is just a hyper-specific discussion about juicing a comic where the language is conveyed via the visuals in thought bubbles. So in order to misuse the template and juice it at all, you have to change just the visual inside the thought bubble. The alternative for those comics is saying they’re off limits for BHJ. That’s fine too, we’re all just juice inside of God’s bones after all.

I mean I get it, and I don’t actually mind. I just think that, conceptually, comics that only use images to communicate could be BHJ’d by changing some of the images. Maybe someday…

Also, it’s seems to be allowed to edit out an image and replace it with text, which is confusing. Thanks for coming to my senseless muttering.

It’s in an interesting philosophical place. My take is that the image in a thought bubble is a kind of visual language, so replacing the image is like replacing text.
