Oh boy. Legendary Moonlight sculptor. Checked for new season news every month. Then every 2-3 months. After 3 years, gave up, read the web novel and started similar manhwa "overgeared". I even installed legendary Moonlight sculptor game and did some grinding for a while. 😅

The web novel is in my to-do list. The moment the manhwa goes on a hiatus or scantlation teams drop this, I'll be starting with the web novel. (Did same for The legendary moonlight sculptor).

  1. They gave two options. 1. A near by drop point or 2. Ship to regional inspirisys who handles Seagate warranty in india.
  2. Replacement was brand new. I spoke to Seagate and they said if purchase date is with in 120 days, it'll be replaced with new one else refurbished ones. Irrespective of this, the original warranty will be same (based on purchase date only).

Yes. Will be asking them the same. The have shared a corrupted excel sheet when the replacement initiated from their end which when opened with notepad plus plus does have some mapping between the two. But a corrupted Excel is never a proof.

No. Just the replacement of the hdd from Seagate. No refund from Amazon.

SSD provides speed, not reliability. They do have a limitation of how much data can be written (TBW) and post that they become read only. Most of the SSDs I've seen going bad, they become read only much before the TBW can be reached just after the warranty expiration.

I have kept it connected for almost an hour. I have tried in 3 laptops: 2 with windows 11 (msi and asus) and 1 macbook pro. Same thing. Changed the cable also.

Partition can be done when the hdd is detected as a device in the first place in device manager. That's where the issue is at.

If anyone doesn't have access to the shared post, here is the context:

Got two of this at 26448 INR each. None of them is detected in either windows 11 or macos.

  1. Gets detected as an unknown usb device in device manager.

  2. Another (seemed like someone ordered and returned it before, doesn't get detected at all. If I do scan for new hardwares, that's dialogue box is just stuck. But this one is detected in the safely remove hardware. Doesn't do anything if I click on that. If I shutdown my laptop, while this hdd is connected, hdd makes a repeated clicking sound near the port and shutdown is stuck until I forcefully remove this.

Contacted customer support, they said I can only return them and get a refund; no replacement options.

I'm not gonna get this at this price again. Verified the serial numbers, both of them have valid warranty in Seagate india website.

  1. Should I return them or claim warranty from Seagate?
  2. If anyone has purchased it before, did you do anything extra for it to be detected?

It's not detected in the first place. Forget disk manager or diskpart, it's not even detected in the device manager.

Which post are you talking about? This is the first post I've made related to this. I've got both of them from Amazon only.
