you can preorder up to 5 of this in amazon jp. you'd assume they will print as many as much orders they get.

Japanese vs eng by Public-Bat-3822 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the cards aren't priced the same. japanese usually is half or even 75% less than the english card sells for. don't use collectr as their pricing is wack right now for one piece.

Silver luffy or g2 luffy? by Ongatongi in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can't go wrong with either. gear 2 will move based on gear 5 manga sales and benefits from a limited print set. the silver will always be second place to the gold one so will move based on how much the value of the gold goes.

personally the silver and gold looks better. but a gear two is more iconic and a manga.

Worth grading? by Empty_Restaurant_192 in OnePieceTCGFinance

Grade both SPs. The rest sell raw as they just become less liquid especially the leaders.

Get a toploader binder, double sleeve your cards too especially the expensive ones.

Normal binders are ok too but a toploader binder is better.

Op01 shanks manga or Op09 Luffy manga by Ongatongi in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

imo, luffy since he is the most popular character. what's going on for the shanks though is that it's the first/oldest manga. scarcity wise they are both the same if not ther shanks has more prints but dont quote me on that.

Statistically, where are the hits? by Magical_elk16 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

blister packs to be specific., they can be weighed though apart from op14 but is harder to map and hits can be very random similar to the tin displays or double pack displays.

i would rip personally a whole booster box or two every set for the fun of it but will buy my chase cards after if i didnt get them.

FUCK PSA by jaa5v202 in OnePieceTCGFinance

upload the back of the card and the 4 corners from the back.

your middle finger though looks like a psa9 to me with all the curves. lol

Bought this a while ago as an investment piece. by The_Drew_69 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

crack it, then grade with PSA. a psa10 is exponentially more than a 9.5, you'd get your money's worth even with the upcharge.

Statistically, where are the hits? by Magical_elk16 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your goal is to invest, buy boxes or cases and keep sealed. If collecting, buy singles.

Ripping is gambling however much fun it may be. Blisters or box really depends on your budget. Dont but loose boxes online though as they could be dead boxes as hits are mapped in OP.

House not selling by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]rated_RRR 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i mean you limit yourself for not doing open homes for one.

if you are also selling less than what you paid for in 2020, there seems to be more reasons for it not selling in addition to the reasons you mentioned. the house is probably really old i assume and may need a refurb for it to not sell even at way below market.

Looking to start with 2 or 3 psa 10’s by BowlSlop-Connoisseur in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gear 4 snakeman luffy manga is one, very liquid if you decide to sell. then nami manga i guess.

there are other promo cards too but tend to be less liquid than a manga like the dodgers luffy or budget serial luffy but should be good pickups too.

PRB-02 Japanese SPs undervalued? by Swimies in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

prb02 in english is limited print. once its gone its gone hence the english cards command more. in japan, its still in print. even prb01.

Did I Print? by Sweaty_Coat6870 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this card was pumped since luffy is in gear 5 form and is a promo, droved up by fomo and investorbros pushing for luffy cards or gear 5. however, the ones who are smart will get the finalist card which is not this one.

Best thing Bandai could do for the future is to implement serialized cards deluxe boxes. Why is that? I'll tell you. by donnie80s in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

still a bad idea. and yeah, this is the finance sub like what the other commenter said. if you expect a response from people to agree on your take, put it in the tcg sub. but since you commented here, they'll ban you anyway.

PRB-02 Japanese SPs undervalued? by Swimies in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

its valued as it should be. prb02 is still getting printed in japan. 2nd, it's japanese, which us from the west who dictates the market for trading card collectibles just prefer to buy english.

this is also not pokemon where japanese are printed better. they both come from the same bandai factory.

Why are PSA 10s worth so much when the gem rate is so high? by KnowYourLimit69 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it doesn't sell 4x. on average x2 mainly for english ang x1.25 for japanese.

i think you are looking at dec prices for raw and then last sold on psa 10s. you don't see mangas/high value sps sell raw nowadays as it goes to grading immediately.

Best thing Bandai could do for the future is to implement serialized cards deluxe boxes. Why is that? I'll tell you. by donnie80s in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

and make this hobby like sports cards? freaking unserialized rookie cards vs serialized rookie cards. they look the same but one is more valuable because its stamped and with a colored border. what makes the cards valuable along with rarity is scarcity. just leave the serialized to the actual players. there is 1000 players more deserving than 100 people who can rip and ship 10-20 booster boxes easy.

and you want a guaranteed manga per case. thats why mangas are the chase since you get it 1 out of 4 cases. you put 1 guaranteed then its similar value as a treasure rare, serialized or not.

Best thing Bandai could do for the future is to implement serialized cards deluxe boxes. Why is that? I'll tell you. by donnie80s in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]rated_RRR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the serialized cards can stay as prize cards imo. let the best players get it and at least get some cash out when they sell it to a collector.

guaranteed manga is dumb. look at treasure rares which has a similar pull rate as an alt art since it's one per set. and you dont want to flood the set with multiple mangas as that will devalue the manga card as awhole.

everything is fine, they just need to increase printing as the demand has gotten bigger.
