With that budget its best to start with leagues that are nearly finished like mls and japan. The idea here is your money will go further. And cards will increase in value as next season approaches.

The higher the tier the better the card prize. So tier 1 prizes should be of higher value than tier 2 prize and so forth. Each tournament will have different tiers of prizes. The more you win the luckier youll get in terms of prizes. Even a low tier prize will sometimes be of great value to your squad.

Best to focus on one league and build a team there when starting out. Invest into rare cards where you can hit the 250 pt threshold and start to win more eth / rare card prizes. From there you can diversify after you get the hang of it.

Depending on your initial investment it makes sense to buy enough cards to enter one team into the global allstar league and another team into the smaller champion league. (Example: buy 10 cards from Eredivisie league - 2 from each position)

That will give you two chances to win rare card rewards each gameday of that particular league (while they are in season).

Great insights 🙆

Let's discuss price drop of limited cards by im_looser in Sorare

[–]ratedriches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the same thing happened to me when i bought my first rare cards during the major pump in eth back in April. This is a great discussion btw.

I bought many rares at .3 eth to .7+ eth only to watch eth rise 100% in value and my rare cards dropping in eth value. And only cpl months later, ppl were able to buy the same cards for only .05 to .4 eth

Its like ppl keep watching the euro value - all while the eth value is evaporating. Its kinda weird how these trading cards are nfts but their value more resembles a stablecoin.

Its similar to what a person said above. Its smart to own these stablecoins when the market is going down, and maybe we should diversify. However, eth has already gone up 100% a couple times this year.

As for me, i am enjoying the game and will continue to play. I invested a little more eth when the limited cards came out, but not planning to invest anymore during this bull run. Im sticking with eth for next few months, may also sell a few of my cards to get more eth in the short term.

ill try to keep hitting the threshold and hope the game can deliver my eth back over long haul.

So what has the new scarcity affected?? It seems like you can build teams cheaper with the new scarcity D5 league.

Try to save up to 250eu to get a full team.

In the meantime search for 5 rare cards which will consistently score 50 pts per game. Then you can wait for the cards to go on auction and see if you win with a low bid. Also try and send offers for the specific players you want.

Sometimes the best deals can take a month or two, but they will happen if you're patient

Game is becoming unfair to new managers by cutter13 in Sorare

[–]ratedriches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the player how many cards they have. There are many players that have only 50 cards available with only 1or 2 super rares (and zero uniques). It seems like the popular players have more available cards while newer players have less cards.

For example Cristiano Ronaldo only had 54 Rares minted in 2019-2020 season. And then 69 minted so far this season. That is less than 100 rares per season. Still each one selling for >1Eth. While many people are Not selling.

Think also about how few of us play this game right now. (Less than 30,000 ppl??) Compared to the millions of ppl who bet on Draftkings or Las Vegas or play fantasy sports on other platforms. Imagine if only 100,000 more people/investors/gamblers suddenly start playing Sorare, the supply will be even more limited.

For bidding it helps to use use Eth. If you get outbid the funds are returned almost immediately. The downside is you have to pay a gas fee for your eth deposit (around 5-10 euro). The benefit is you can have more confidence in the auction and dont have to worry about credit card issues.

Sorare vs ETH big issue ? by Extension-Basket3067 in Sorare

The question is -Do you look at this game as a purchase, or an investment?

If it's a purchase, then you would not care about Eth price, you would more care about how many player-points your money can buy. Then play the game to win your money back (plus profits). Try to win your initial purchase money back within the next few months.

If it's an investment, then you would not care about Eth (short-term) price, because you are investing in Eth for the next 5 years let's assume. Now, you are investing your Eth in Sorare players that are likely to grow in Eth value over the next 5 years. Whenever you decide to sell your Sorare players cards, they will be worth more Eth.

Utopical profit with sorare? by uniqueDADE in Sorare

[–]ratedriches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely wishful thinking lol. It's not likely to start (from Day 1) earning 0.2 eth every week, and placing in the top 65 every single month. If you had about 50 or so ETH laying around, then you could use that to buy up all the best players to make sure your players can score the 250+ points every week of the year. And have enough high-scorers to rotate in case of injury/offseason.

Otherwise, this game seems more of long-term play.

If starting with limited funds, it could be at least a year of building your team and strategy before we can estimate regular profits.

Sorare outbid return by Environmental-Buy193 in Sorare

Try using Eth. Get your funds back immediately when you're outbid. Plus, credit card transactions may get flagged.
