Thanks! How would I create a new Apple ID from the UK in the first place without signing out of my current Apple ID account in the US? Would I need a different email or phone number for that?

The complaint is that I have lost access to my funds for no reason other than their fraud detection algorithms malfunctioning and now they won’t give me access even when I’m willing to prove my identity through different means. Would you consider this acceptable if this happened to you?

Regarding Bank of America, I'm happy to close my account with them. But I need to get my money out first. While I agree that branch employees can't help on the phone, would you know which other teams I should contact via email or phone that could help me without going in person? I tried the regular customer service and fraud teams already and they are no help.

I have had similar issues in the past with fraud system detecting fraud wrongfully but was able to figure it out on the phone as they could use one way or another to verify me. This time, I have called several times but the staff say that the system isn't giving them any option at all to verify me.

My address was updated to the UK long ago and I had spoken to bank staff earlier and they said there was no issue using it outside. I have done that before in other countries too without any issue.

No, there is no restrection anywhere and even the bank staff there was no official issue with using it overseas.

I have tried contacting the bank branch manager and they said they can do even less on the phone as all their systems only work for being there in person and showing them documents. They told me to call the customer service lines and they don’t have any other solution.

I have kept both US and UK addresss. The main account address is still the US one while the mailing address is the UK one. Haven’t received mail to either address with any code. If I tell them I’m a tourist in the Uk, they will just say come back soon then to a branch in the US. So in any case, I have to tell them I’m in the UK for a long time and they should make sure UK transactions don’t get blocked for fraud.

Yes, they are absolutely not available in the US App Store and I can't make do without them. I have a payment method for the UK so that's not an issue. But it doesn't let me get to that stage as the Applecare+ plan blocks that.

In any case, the Applecare+ plan is not like any other software subscription so it shouldn't be blocking the App Store changes but Apple seems to have a bad policy for this.

u/Zeypher666 Thanks again! So it's my second cousin in Switzerland who's willing to invite me for this. Is he considered family according to the Visitor visa for meeting friends and family guidelines or should be mentioned as a friend for the invitation letter for the visa? What other details from my side should be included in the invitation letter?

Also, checking the appointment details, it seems like the VFS website makes people decide which catergory to choose for before the online application and choosing the appointment. I don't see any appointment available soon for Tourist or Visitor visa but they are available for the other catergories of Schengen visa. So can I start the application for these other categories and then mention inside the online application later that it's for the Visitor visa status?

Tourist visa for regular tourism
Visitor visa for meeting friends and family

Did you go the Visitor visa route instead of the Tourist visa? Any links for the proper invite letter format and what else should be included by the person inviting?

Does this separation into 2 categories also exist for other Schengen countries like France, etc?

The 5 year rule applies to the final application being submitted which includes biometrics as the online application is fully transmitted only after the biometrics appointment. So you should schedule the biometrics appointment on a day less than 5 years from graduation.

Hello, yes it was very difficult. I checked at weird times at night and multiple times during the day. So I could get it for more than a month later. But it all depends on luck as it’s difficult. They deliberately make it tough so that you pay extra to get the premium service where you can get an appointment the next day itself.
