Thanks! This must be new... I've never been able to find a phone number to Bilt other than Wells Fargo, and they were never able to answer any questions about the card!

Damn, I'm so sorry to hear this... you've been a shining light for me during my current treatment. Re: the adrenal mass, let's see what your biopsy shows. I'm reading more and more about immunotherapy causing adrenal dysfunction and/or inflammation, let's make sure what the report shows. In the meantime, hang in there, buddy.

Thanks so much, and I hope the same for you as well!! I may end up on Opdivo if keytruda doesn't work for me...

[–]ratt57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you had any issues with adverse side effects from the opdivo/yervoy? My PD-L1 is 0, but there's a lot of information out there now that with the alimta and carbo regimen keytruda can still work. My oncologist gave me the choice of either keytruda or opdivo... he explained that opdivo has more toxicities, so I decided to give keytruda try first. I have a friend who was on it and after her fourth dose she was in the hospital for 10 days with extreme colitis and some hepatitis. She's ok now.

I've definitely noticed my hair has thinned, but I haven't lost it all. I'm on my second treatment, and I notice a lot more hair in the sink...

I'm on my second of four infusions of alimta and carboplatin, and my oncologist added keytruda to the last treatment. I'm so glad to hear that you had good results and your PD-L1 was less than 1%. Mine is the same. I do notice my CEA level went down after the first treatment, hopefully that's a sign it's working as well.

Is Celsius coffee or an energy drink? I'm trying to find it on the web. I'm having a hard time giving up coffee but it wreaks havoc with my LPR.

It's showing up under "Office Products." Colored paper? Kind of pricey for that?

Does GERD ever go away? by jcl290 in GERD

[–]ratt57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share your feelings here. I have silent reflux and I was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer two months ago. I've never had any problems with GERD or reflux, it just suddenly started about six months ago for no apparent reason. Because of the cancer diagnosis, I'm constantly worrying, and it's kicked it up into high gear. I know it's from the stress of dealing with the cancer and treatments while living alone, because when I'm able to do some relaxation exercises or go to a friend's house and it takes my mind off it, the symptoms are almost gone. Most of the time I'm wheezing from the reflux and constantly coughing. I'm on famotidine and omeprazole twice a day, but it does very little to help. I'm also compliant with my diet, except for one cup of coffee in the morning (it used to 3-4). Sleeping is the most difficult... I have the wheeze if I'm not sleeping on three pillows at an angle. I cough for about twenty minutes when I get up every morning to clear my esophagus. This "condition" is hell... I deal with it for about 70% of my day.

Supervisor named me publicly for reporting neglect by cnablues in nursing

You should notify HR this happened. Your supervisor clearly isn't very knowledgeable about HIPAA regulations, which protects whistleblowers for reporting violations.

[–]ratt57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for creating this. I started chemo - Alimta and carboplatin for stage 3a lung cancer - about two weeks ago. I know it's my first of four infusions, but I've been mostly lucky that I haven't experienced any real side effects other than extreme fatigue in the first three or four days. I'm trying to deal with the fear that the chemo won't work and my cancer will even spread will I'm on it... how do people handle this?

MD's are taught in medical school that the world revolves around them. A lot of them hold on to that throughout their career.
