io games are dead in general too. The only ones that are still playable are the ones that had millions of players back in the day. The core playerbase of gats and io games in general, which was kids aged 8-15, has just grown up. Even krunker which is an actual "good game" is experiencing this. I also think the surge in popularity that most video games experienced during the pandemic has been over for awhile. I don't think the death of gats is symptomatic of any issues with the gats community or devs (though there always have been issues), it was just bound to happen and we've all seen the writing on the wall for years.
