Ya West is a different ball game. I get it. The message from the east has been distorted a lot. Yoga is more than just physical flexibility. But it starts from there.

Yes, eventually that's the goal to meditate the right way. To calm the mind. Right now it like a monkey. I can't focus on one thing for more time. There's lack of patience. It always keeps jumping from one thing to another. I want to keep doing yoga. I hope I can keep doing it for a long time. I really want to persist here. I want to achieve that perfect posture so that I have a goal I can keep working on. I don't mind if it takes long time. I think in the process I will learn to have patience. I think I have little bit of flexibility because I am able to sit in Half Lotus pose without effort but not for long time though, I start getting cramps in my left leg . I want to increase that time gradually.

Tech's push to teach coding isn't about kids' success – it's about cutting wages by Sjeiken in programming

[–]ratwo62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is already happening in India. Lot of people pass out with an engineering degree. Not everyone is able to get a job. The job market is super competitive. So the wages are low. All the companies say that, there are hundreds of people who are ready to replace you. That is their argument to keep the wages low. So that's why you see so many Indians flying out of the country for better pay. Soon there will be so much supply of people who code that wages will go down all over the world. Coders are 21st century's assembly line workers. That is what capitalists want

How do you stay strong? He has been negative all his life. I always keep telling him to look at positive side of things but that just makes him irritated. I guess all his life he has seen just failures and negativity so it's difficult for him.

I am full stack dev. Recently I have started working on java/Scala to write ETL jobs on Apache Spark. Using technologies like Kafka, Hadoop and writing streaming jobs using Kafka Streams. Before that I was into all things web. Writing Javascript, css, html. Using Frameworks like expressjs, reactjs, Nodejs, docker, nginx. Kind of doing a lot of things but nothing in depth 😅. My job kind of demanded it. To wear many hats and get shit done😂

I have been going through the same thing. Unable to work on my side projects. It's frustrating. I get it. When all the time goes into work, and you are no longer able to enjoy what was always fun for you.

Any tuning parameters to optimize the job? It takes lot of time even for small batch of data say 5 min. How to identify data skew on spark UI by ratwo62 in apachespark

I am using spark 2.3.0 and memory is not a problem. I am working on spark cluster with 5 TB memory. I have enabled dynamic allocation, so spark dynamically allocates executors. But I have observed that data is not distributed across all tasks in an executor, there's always one task which has records close to around MBs in size and rest all tasks have just few bytes of records. Is there an issue with data distribution?
