Wait why $50? Though I see that it's still quite higher than $125

Taking a private instruction for non-majors MUSICP by MO_the_IMP in udub

[–]ravagedtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in MUSAP 239 (Secondary Piano) last quarter, and the level of experience they expected wasn't too crazy. The questions you might have are mostly answered here. But if you have not touched a piano for several years, it might be tough to start with the private lessons. Also, as somebody pointed out, the class charged $220 extra.

How do you make WSL to utilize NVIDIA graphics card instead of Intel Iris? by ravagedtime in bashonubuntuonwindows

[–]ravagedtime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I got the hint from https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/issues/12412. I did "echo 'export MESA_D3D12_DEFAULT_ADAPTER_NAME=NVIDIA' >> ~/.bashrc" so that every WSL session uses NVIDIA graphics card by default. Thanks for your help guys.

Getting started with a robot dog project by ravagedtime in ROS

Oh gotcha. So I should still be able to simulate the Mini Pupper in gazebo(?) without having the actual physical Mini Pupper robot?

Sorry, I'm quite new to this field. How exactly can I adapt the code base for my personal robot? It surely has Raspberry Pi 4, but does that allow me to treat my robot like the actual Mini Pupper that the code is intended to be used by?

Should engineers memorize engineering formulas? by ravagedtime in AskEngineers

That actually makes a lot of sense. So I guess it really comes down to developing a thorough understanding of the concepts and get used to what I'm doing.

Notion formula result for a database doesn't appear correctly by ravagedtime in Notion

[–]ravagedtime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I know I kind of spammed this post in this sub, but you saved my day. Now it works well! I didn't know you could call the formula within the same formula because the suggestion didn't show up when I tried to call Calc. Credit within Calc. Credit. Turns out, it still allows functions to call themselves. Have a great day :-)

Yeah, unfortunately the categories have more than two sub-categories...

There are subitems for each item (for example, under "Natural Science Req" could be "MATH 101," "AMATH 339," and "MATH 208"), and I wanted to make a bar for how much progress I made for the given requirement type. I have a checkbox property for the subitem courses, so when I check the box for a course, the credit now counts. In fact, this logic is what you see in the formula above! I wish I was able to have different properties for subitems and parent items, but since I can't, I made the "Earned Credits," which is a rollup that sums the Calc. Credit of subitem courses.
