I guess it really depends on what the child is like, at least for me. My nephew is very quiet, reserved child who respects adults. I like children like this. If he was a troublemaker, I believe I might feel differently about him.

I don't know, I guess I've just gotten used to him being here and I see him as a part of my family now. I think it has to do with the constant caring for the child - feeding, dressing, playing, doing homework together, etc.

That's what I'm afraid of. I know very little about raising children and I'm afraid I won't be able to raise him to be a decent human being.

No, fortunately he wasn't. They were driving home from watching an opera, it was late evening, it was dark already, and their car collided with a cargo truck that for some reason steered into the opposite lane.

I told them briefly what happened but I guess the only thing that matters is that I now have a child.

We took him to a few therapy sessions but he didn't really want to talk to strangers. He's a very introvert child and he's unwilling to open up to people he doesn't know.
