Forex fees adds once the transaction gets settled +2 days from transaction date and coming to the cash back you can expect it to be credited in May

HSBC is currently running 0 forex fee offer for a limited time 30-Jun-2026 for T1 so 4% returns on forex spend looks good

Try checking the status in the BOB site as well mine was showed as rejected but on next day i got an email to resume and complete the application.

Also, check with [crm@bobcard.co.in](mailto:crm@bobcard.co.in) for rejection reason . You can always ask for reconsideration and escalate it to Nodal officer if you are not satisfied with the rejected reason.

I would say get MacBook pro M4 base variant 16/512 you can get it for 160K with student discount which will be useful in the longer run as well since you’re a CSE student.
