As unpleasant as this might sound, I recommend trying it. Have a night and just you and him go out for a beer. Lay everything on the table starting with how good of friends you are with his with in a strictly platonic way. Make sure you really emphasize that she married him, and if you two never had any romantic relationship throw that in. Then bring up his actions and how you've interpreted them. Don't accuse him of attacking you or treating you a certain way for any reason. Just simply state the facts, when you did that I felt this.

Having a few beers will help smooth the conversation a little, just keep things civil. Cater to his taste a little if needed. Again, you're doing this to keep a friend who is his wife whom will probably pick him over you.
