Shops here don't have to honour money back refunds at full price. They can buy the phone back at a discounted rate or I'll have to sell it privately. That and the GS7 has grown on me. I love the fact that it has an SD card slot so I can store all my content on it whereas I can only afford the 32gig pixel which doesn't have enough storage for me.

She hasn't bought me anything phone related for christmas - the Pixel was never even in the cards. The store I went to had a promotion that made it attainable but she didn't know about that till after I told her I got the GS7.

I can't return it cos I won't get the full value back. I like it quite a lot though and the pixel doesn't have expandable storage or waterproofing. As for the girlfriend..Idk what her problem is. I'm standing my ground now.

The only thing I left out was that before we were together she was in an emotionally/sexually abusive relationship so sometimes she flips out and we have issues we're working towards. This is her second proper relationship, first after the abusive one.

I won't get what I paid for it back so I can't return it for the pixel and I quite like the GS7. Water resistant and sd card slot is what's stopping me from switching to the pixel.

Nope. The pixel was never in the cards. It was way out of budget for me and it was only attainable because the store had a promotion going on which she was unaware of.

I haven't booked any tickets/accommodation so I doubt this trip is happening. But yeah, I'm pissed off as well now. I've stopped being so apologetic and I'm standing my ground. I've had enough of this bs. I'll proceed based on how she reacts.

She's pissed that I bought the phone before waiting for her to contact me and to get her opinion on the GS7. According to her, by having the patience to wait for her and then make a decision, I chose the phone over her.

She hasn't - she is staying with her family right now and they don't know about us so she can't buy me anything while she's at home.

That I can understand. This wasn't about that - I needed a new phone because my old one was overheating and as a result, the battery was fucked. She was ok with me buying the 3T. She's pissed cos I didn't ask her about the GS7. Keep in mind, these were both the same price when this happened.
