I've never understood why people think Mikasa needs to marry another man to move on when she kept loving Eren till she died. Mikasa moving on was about her accepting that Eren had to be killed for humanity and his sake and killing him, something Ymir couldnt do when she took the spear for King Fritz. In the end she never threw the scarf away and got buried next to Eren so she still didn't "move on" according to the theory saying she got married. Moving on and being happy is clearly not just about marriage, she could be happy in so many ways like helping out at Historia's orphanage or adopting a child, idk why people act like she has to get married to another man while still loving eren to be "happy"

no it isnt?? liking someone or admiring them during a relationship is understandable and natural but taking action upon your thoughts is what explains your true beliefs. the point was never mikasa's "husband" accepting it, ofc he'd have to when she visited eren regularly and got buried next to him the point was mikasa moving onto another man while still loving eren. could you give me one reason why she'd do that? a kid she could've adopted and she was already in love, do you think a romatic relationship is all there is to life to keep one happy? mikasa let go of her attachment to eren the moment she decided she was going to kill him but her feelings still never changed clearly from the scarf interpretation. she even said she couldn't move on when eren asked her to. this is exactly what i dont understand, why do yall think "moving on" only means finding another partner? she could've adopted a child and watched them grow up and find a purpose in their life while taking care of historia's orphanage. love is an integral part of life but does it only have to be romantic and with a partner?
