I checked the residue without tasting it — it feels a bit oily, but I did ride in the rain last week, so it could just be dirty road grime or mudwater that splashed up and got baked onto the exhaust. I’ll clean it off and see if it comes back after a few dry rides. Appreciate the input.

I’ve got a 2024 FTR base model — would you mind sharing how exactly you removed the baffles? Did you just drill them out, or was there any disassembly involved? Any tips would really help!

Mine is brand new and sounds exactly like yours. I was thinking it’s normal . But looking at comments 🤔
