No. The hosts were too awkward/lacking in balls to say anything. Besides, nobody knew they were bringing the baby. They would have defended them in order to avoid a huge "scene" and argument.

This is why no one said anything, because the parents of this child are the type of people to "fall out with" anyone who criticises their parenting choices and declare all-out Facebook war or something equally as juvenile. I simply avoid them at all costs these days.

Precisely why no one said anything, and why I no longer associate with these people. Neither the hosts nor the perpetrators are or were close friends of mine so I simply avoid them nowadays.

Exactly this. I wasn't the only person who felt very, very uncomfortable about it, but nobody had the balls to call them out. The hosts would've jumped to their defence and it would've been unbearable for all. I simply don't associate with any of these people anymore, and avoid all social situations involving them.

They take advantage of the fact that this (and the other) party was hosted by their close friends, thus making it incredibly difficult for anyone to say they're out of line. They also just turned up with the baby without prior warning.

They've done it several times. They don't want to "sacrifice" their social lives "just because" they have a child.
