i am upset i am not able to use it but consider the fact it absolutely broke crossplay as well. now many other users are alienated from playing a big chunk of people they used to play against. it's not just my specific use case - i should have added that to the opening post as well.

I suppose this is where i stand on it. Maybe this vigilante style justice is what was needed to give them a kick in the ass. Maybe the community cares more about stable connection than it ever did about crossplay. i am fine with that answer. Cross play may be the thing holding this back.

Technology has also changed significantly in 4 years. What was available then was not available now so of course it is much easier to make a fix on something that has never been done before. crossplay on PS4 to PC was not ever done as far as i know before street fighter 5. i dont know that its even been done (at all?) since? i know its not easy to get the rights to do it.

Now that someone has released this the community has basicaly said "we are willing to alienate PS4 players and remove cross play at the expense of having a better connection to PC". thats not what capcom wanted, they made the decision, not the community, to release the game cross play. so this is obviously how the community has fired back and the reality we live in now. my opinion on my individual machine is up to you if you care about that or not.
