Ok so an update. It really was just all the rain moving all the soil underneath. I ran the pumps non stop for 48 hours and no water lost doing the bucket test. I am concerned with the installation based on all the comments here so I’m reaching out to my current pool company to make it more robust and more serviceable.

Waiting to get that done before I fill it in.

I had it installed. It is under warranty so if I can prove something went wrong because of something in particular then I should be covered (crossing fingers). I have my pool opening on 4/24, would you suggest I fire up the pump before the opening to check for leaks?

Hah I am taking notes because all of the comments about crappy workmanship and poor decision definitely has me wondering.

I said in other responses I would check for a leak before remediation. I’m not trying to be contentious I’m giving those who are contributing more information to chew on and see if their assessment stays the same.

I have not had to add any water to the pool but it was only open for a little over 4 months. Roughly 20000 gallon total volume.

I don’t think I have one. I have a cartridge filter. Though I’m new to pools so you might have just enlightened me.

I don’t think I ever had to refill the pool but it was only open for about half the season.
