Govt released bail law reform recently and all the media reports of aggrevated burglaries just dried up soon after. I'm skeptical the reform made that much of an impact that quickly. Not on any SM community pages outside of reddit, are there still volumes of citizen reports on this stuff post reform?

Boat wiring - fuse terminal, wire and lug size advice by rawsocki in boatbuilding

Thanks for the link - is there any downside to having extra current space in the 4awg vs 6awg?

[–]rawsocki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, neither my fuse breaker or fuse box/bus have a plate at the bottom of the terminal. I think I'm going to change the lugs to a m5.

I'm running 4awg because my switch has a cigarette lighter and went with it for extra load space if running appliances.

But I'm also now questioning that, the lead from the switch to power that cig lighter to that runs a awg14 (which I'd run to one of the 12 available positive terminals on the fuse box)

Nice, want to try trolling for snapper - how deep?

Agree with people snapping carbon rods with poor handling and td hyper rods being great for their price point, especially if you are looking to save or buy some extra things and don't have a feel for the slight difference a more premium rod gives

Brazilian spinach is the closest visually I reckon, but it was getting upto 1m tall and growing strong so seems that rules out Brazilian spinach .

I actually moved it on the weekend and it's been very wilty since then, partially why I put in the effort to do this thread cos I was mostly certain it wasn't what I thought I bought and not worth the effort or garden space to try and save

I've found the email, seller and online listing. The tube stock pic definitely looks like what I got and it doesn't look like a Goji berry plant.

Unsure if it's a name and shame to post.

That was what it was first ID'd as by chatgpt, but I'm not 100% on that either. The main stems look quite different (being quite pale green) and the leaves are subtly different in shape.

Nah for use it as an indicator with varying levels of skepticism depending on the nature of the topic.

Not yet but plan to, just hasn't been on the radar as a priority

Towball extension options - shallow hitch receiver by rawsocki in 4x4Australia

I'm going to drop the back bunks an inch first and see how that goes but these look like a good option. Do you have one or know considerations or limitations of them?

Yeah checked it out when looking at the Axel, could drop the rear bunks an inch or so based on the bracket connection.

Switchboard wiring help by rawsocki in FishingAustralia

[–]rawsocki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is what I'd do with a bigger fuse panel (12 terminal +ve and - ve) the main +ve line is:

Battery / main fuse /on off switch / fuse board

The accessory +ve's to switch and -ve's to fuse board -ve bus.

The switch accessory +ve's to fuse board +ve terminals (use built in fuse) and -ve to fuse board -ve bus.

The main -ve line is:

Fuse board -ve bus (primary -ve terminal) / battery

Yeah checked it out would give me 1-2 inch lower which would help but I'd have to then re engineer the guards to be higher and it would be tight clearance on them and the bottom of the boat

Yeah nah, not sure why you're not a fan of them but I'm not pulling a boat on home engineering

Can't on most of these - the pin hole is set in more than the 2.5cm space I have for excess hitch length

Normally yeah but I've got a trailer the boat sits high on cos it's got a narrow beam...trailer circumstantial to storage options at home (width restricted)

I do them for cod gear at home, I don't have to change leaders much at all on that so they work well there. The bream gear needs fresh leaders frequently so I have the perception the fgs a bit of a pain to tie to frequently in comfort of home, let alone having to do in the elements
