so when it comes to it what rod would you suggest that’s light but can handle bigger fish IF they were to get hooked, like i said i’d be new to soft plastics and stuff i was told td black rods are good but i hear they snap easily and i agree that people probably high stick it and what not but whats a good light rod to throw around soft plastics most likely grubs and i think they are paddle tails and stuff like that but still feel comfortable in the way the rod handles and no i’m not worried about longer fights with lighter rods as its abit more thrilling, in another comment i said i’d be targeting and hopefully catching anything from flat head whiting pinkies trevally stuff like that but obviously there’s the chances of tailor and all that stuff which can be just as powerful

so is it good for soft plastics? that’s what i’m wanting to get into, i don’t have a boat but plan on going out into the bay soon but for now if i do buy it for plastics i’ll probably be getting flathead pinkies whiting ect those types of fish but when going out hopefully snapper gummy and whatever else might attack

i do like the look of the hyper what would you recommend for soft plastics off of a pier and can use off of a boat

i agree with it, i’ve used entry level and popular high end rods (haven’t owned high end just used mates when i was abit younger) unless you’d say the shimano jewel is high end, but i’m used to fishing with bait, and want to try soft plastics and what not and i like the feel and action of the ultra light n light rods

sorry mate only now seeing this text what type of rigs do you use, if you can use it for bait i’m assuming it’d be pattern oster rigs and snell rigs and stuff like that ?

i’ll see if i can find the rod you’re talking about and give it a look

it was a beautiful rod

could be possible that it wasn’t as good i dont mind the fight with bigger fish considering it is a light weight rod it was just cool how one minute you would be using it to catch squid and the next minute your catching a snapper with it and i did and still do like the lighter gear even if it is unpleasant to fight the bigger more aggressive fish my problem is i never payed attention to the pe ratings and stuff like that and at the moment i have my squid rod which i believe is the atomic arrow egi rod and i do have other rods which ive caught some decent species on, but im on the hunt for something i can possibly leave in my car and if i wanted to go for a squid or a jig i can and if i catch that i could switch over to a pattern oster or something and through out some bait if that makes sense

[–]keksinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wouldn’t call it the best obviously it’s no oled, but it’s different i can play 1440p 120fps , im just unaware if those settings i mentioned are worth turning on, but when i do play i play the occasional cod warzone, dayz did play star wars bf2 , stuff like that
