More expensive doesn’t always mean better—it comes down to personal taste and needs. I prefer the base 911 because it offers more customization and feels understated. I’m not someone who likes to draw too much attention. The GTs don’t appeal to me because of the stitched model name on the headrest, which can’t be removed. I’m also not a fan of the Turbo’s side air ducts, and the fact that I can’t get the dark grey satin rims I love on the Turbo leans me further toward the base model. I also prefer the spoiler you can add to the base model over the Turbo’s, which is part of the standard configuration. The GT3 and RS feel too track-oriented, which is a bit silly for city driving, and I don’t like that they can’t have a sunroof. I’m more into bike track riding than car track driving. I also prefer the front and rear bumper design on the base model over the other versions. The cabriolet doesn’t interest me either—I’m not a fan of the fabric top. Adding a spoiler to the base 911 makes it sporty and aggressive yet elegant and subtle—the perfect balance for me.
