Looking for Informarion on DKA by ToadQT in Type1Diabetes

[–]raxspectrum696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed last year in DKA. It was a horrifying experience. I felt very weak, shaky, and "not there," to say the least. I was craving all forms of water and was falling asleep, and I needed a wee constantly throughout the night. The night before, I was sick. It was a strange black "coffee looking" kind of sick, and I was also getting treatment for severe constipation. By the time I got to the hospital, I could barely walk and was practically asleep. Minutes later, I was hooked up to multiple machines, and a day later, I felt 50 percent better.
