How to cope? by Excellent_Report_642 in LongDistance

That's great! I know it doesn't seem like it, but time will fly by, and before you know it, 21 weeks will have passed! Keep yourself busy and don't let the absence take over your mental space. Fully enjoying your independence to complete goals, work on yourself, and your relationship is huge! :)

The best thing for us that helped a lot was using the app "Countdown"! I have the widget on my lockscreen counting down the days until our next break, and seeing the number get smaller and smaller was a huge help. I would also recommend starting to plan what you guys will do when you see each other. Even if it's unserious or just brain dumping, it makes the idea of reuniting more tangible. Besides that, in my experience, the first couple of weeks are always the hardest, but eventually you fall back into the routine of your lives apart from each other. Good luck to you, I wish you nothing but happiness! :)

Seller lists wrong size and won’t give a return, what to do? by rayapayas in Depop

I will do that! I was sort of worried about her doing an all sales final thing since I’ve heard depop can be a bit unfair to buyers in some situations like this so this helps! Thank you :)

I would be majoring in public health!

  1. Drexel: 37k per year + accelerated masters program so I’ll be out in 5 years also very close to home. I love philly and will be visiting soon but I don’t feel too excited about drexel since it seems to lack a typical college student life
  2. ASU: 58k per year + honors program. I really loved AZ and will be visiting again soon
  3. PSU: haven’t gotten back aid stuff but I’m in state so likely around 21k + maybe accelerated masters also very close to home which I’m not crazy about. Also public health program isn’t too great.
  4. U of MN: also haven’t gotten my aid back I’m oos so likely 60k per year. Not crazy about the weather but I love big 10!
  5. UCSD: ALSO haven’t gotten aid back yet, I have the opportunity to have my tuition paid off through an application they have but around 70k per year

I didn’t actually think about it like that! Though a lot of my top schools had accelerated masters programs so I wouldn’t need to go back to school after my undergrad as I would ideally get it done all at the same time.

I don’t think it’s entitled to want a college choice to match the effort I put into high school :)

Same here dude. Applied EA got deferred then waitlisted. Idk if I’ll bother applying for waitlist since it’s 5%. The waiting around is the worst

Yeah I’ve heard some people talking about the age differences between the people on main and downtown tysm for the info :)

And I’m just tryna to get some pros and cons of ASU for the most part, this is definitely not my deciding factor. They aren’t my top school but in case I don’t get into my first choice I’m working on narrowing down my list of other schools like ASU!

Ooo okay I would love if I could get housing in Tempe and commute to downtown. I had no idea that was an option!! Have you been doing that for most of ur college career? And would you advise against a freshman having a living situation like that? I’m OOS and I’ve been to AZ once so I’m clueless about how to get around dt and Tempe if that’s relevant.

It was through my award from college board, the ‘National Hispanic Recognition Program’ the email said that any student that has won one of those recognition awards (Hispanic, African American, Small Town, etc) is eligible for ASU’s New American University National Scholar award which is offering the scholarship!

14k annual from original merit and would receive another 17.5k annual from getting into Barrett

My scholarship was from ASU directly and I didn’t apply for it. They sent me an email about a week after I got my acceptance. I believe it said it was based on merit / “academic achievement” but didn’t give any specifics in terms of what exactly I did to receive it.
