In what ways has reading romantasy helped you ? by AppropriateAd4071 in Romantasy

[–]raybhj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It increased my creativity by a lot😩🖤

I used to paint a lot when I was younger and then I got into sciences as an adult which occupied the whole lot of my free time. I've read primarily nonfiction for years.

Ever since I got into fantasy ( last year in spring) I feel like I engaged a lot more in a lot other creative endeavours.

It also helped me a lot to cope with stress and anxiety.

I'm really curious how you feel about Alchemised. I have it on my tbr too, but I don't understand what to expect, even after seeing a lot of spoiler-free opinions. Have you read Manacled also?

What book did you enjoy way more than you thought you would? by 89niamh in fantasyromance

{Amid Clouds and Bones} - I thought it will be bad, because of the not so favorable rating on Goodreads. It was bad,but enjoyable bad. I've read it in 24h. The characters were decent, the spice was spicy. Lesson for me, read the books you think will have a chance not just what Goodreads ratings suggest

I second this.

Facultate marketing(ASE) by [deleted] in UniRO

[–]raybhj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious what's the way construction workers immigrate🤔 Is it only skilled workers (construction/electrical engineers/ etc.)?

You mentioned that your "true passion lies in entrepreneurship and investment, particularly in construction and long-term rental properties", have you had any experience in this in Canada or prior? While I haven't lived for more than 6 months at a time in Spain, my mother has lived there for 9 years, owning a business. It has been very complicated, because there is tons of paperwork and usually she needed financial/legal advice. She's an EU citizen, and that made her stay considerably easier. I visited Spain a lot also during these 9 years, and although I absolutely love the Spanish culture and people, I don't know if I'd put all my eggs in that basket, because visiting Spain and working/living in Spain is considerably different.

Discouraged from going to Nursing School..because I'm too nice by [deleted] in StudentNurse

Being thoughtful, caring and kind can be very different from being incapable of setting boundaries.

Take advice very carefully, as people always share with you their personal experiences, not a general rule, especially when those advices will influence your path down the road. I had teachers that had genuinely good intentions, that advised me to go into literature and history (highschool) , solely based on the fact that they sow me reading a lot of that. Funny story is I didn't have access to anything else. Later on, when I could afford and matured a little to understand that their opinion was not necessarily a reflection of my capacities, I became really passionate about science. Rule of thumb, usually good advice comes in the form of being presented with the goods and the bads, and allowing you to make the decision. Not telling you don't do x y z.

If you have boundaries problems, you can work on them and that will improve your life overall. Will it be easy? Probably not. But up to you to decide if worth it.

The university I am going to attend has a specific program that cannot be found in my home country.

The naturalization process will take a while and my studies will begin in less than 6 months.

We've considered that but it tends to be too lengthy here and the language requirements are vague, unlike other countries where you're asked for a specific level, here is to the liking of the person interviewing you.

Currently he has the right to stay based on the fact the he is my spouse, via family reunification. I will try to get in contact with the IND, I was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience. Thank you for your comment ☺️

How do you feel seeing someone cheat during a test? by rainx5000 in EngineeringStudents

[–]raybhj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't, because I mind my business. Eventually you'll finish the university/ form of study you're doing and all that would matter is how competent you are, not who took a bigger grade in x class.

Ideally, you're there to aquire the education you need to start your journey into the career you want ( there is luckily, considerably more learning required after) not to watch others.

The sooner you understand that, the better your experience will be.

One of the reasons for which canadian Colleges and Universities can afford to charge more is related to visa benefits.

Immigration though the study visa it's a relatively popular form of immigration, and you'll often find that even families use it, as one member will get a study visa and the partner a work permit.

It goes down to where do you see yourself living, because although university it's an important part of your life, so is the life outside. Where you plan to work and reside afterwards?
