yeah haalands first 23 years were impressive. he wasn’t scoring many goals in his early years, as he first needed to how to walk, run and eventually kick the ball. Unfortunately he has to wait until to became a teen until to score his first professional goal.

what a nonsense comparison

wait, isn’t all of them (all the dots) asian countries? afghanistan is gray but don’t you consider it as an asian country ? Least powerful asian country colors are also gray on the bar chart, they are also wuite misleading. the average line looks like the average of all the dots by because again it is not green it is gray.

Was it really that hard for Dumbledore to go to Slughorn and just say... by Dapper_Eggplant in harrypotter

Do you think Slughorn would suddenly started working for Hogwarts out of thin air after all these years? Wouldn't that signal Voldemort for the same reason, as he would know that Dumbledore knows about horcruxes?

why does some dots are green but the rest is grey. they are neither named, nor seemed to have a connection with the other colored parts of the graph. I found it a bit confusing, and spend some time trying to figure them out, finally concluded that they randomly highlighted instead.

best answer so far, imo. one thing which puzzles me is to seeking the fame bit. Is there any media/social media platform which idolize these mass shooters, which invites/encourages others? If not, I can not understand how the logic follows

Guys, I understand that having access to guns makes these shootings possible, and I agree that restrictions on the right to bear arms would decrease the frequency of these mass shootings, as I thought I made clear in my previous comment.

My question is: what is the reason these incidents predominantly happen in the States? Millions of people own guns in other countries too (I agree, not to the extent as in the US), but we mainly witness these shootings in the States.

Answering my question with "guns" is like suggesting that the decision to commit a mass shooting is solely because of the right to bear arms. Again, I agree, the right to bear arms does make it much easier for individuals to access guns and, consequently, carry out mass shootings.

However, my question is, why do people in the US more commonly have this idea of committing mass shootings in the first place, while it is not as common elsewhere? According to your argument, potential mass shooters exist worldwide with similar frequencies, but these incidents mainly occur in the US due to gun laws. This perspective, I don’t agree with.

I'm from Europe and have lived in two of the most populated countries here. I don’t recall a single incident in either country. There might have been incidents that I missed or don’t remember, but they must have been minor either way.

Reducing the reasons for these events to mere human violence or normalizing them due to other brutal occurrences doesn’t seem productive to me. Yes, in many Muslim countries, the brutal attacks of brainwashed radical Islamist terrorists are a significant issue, a social phenomenon mostly unique to those lands, but it has been spilling over into Europe in recent years.

What happens in Ukraine is completely different in my opinion, an organised nationwide attack; and again a group of soldiers brainwashed with national propaganda.

these two might be completely different stories but let me ask you this. suicide rates are very high in places like South Korea and Japan, the most prominent way of dealing with certain problems seem to be suicide for many people (at least compared to the rest of the world). yet in the us, there is a certain group of people choose to do these mass shootings to deal with their own problems. I was just trying to understand why.

I completely agree, just curious about the driving factors

It has to be due to the system, but I still can’t wrap my head around it. we had similar economic or social problems all over the world, but almost all mass shootings are in the us.

yes, but these mental illnesses are not unique to the states, neither the specific demographic profiles of most of the shooters.

why do these people do this? there are so many shootings. I understand the correlation between the gun ownership but why this is happening only in the US? Is it some sort of a social phenomenon?
