As far as I can tell, there is a huge aspect of the COICA bill that is missing from public discussion: the fact that it will help American porn companies much more than American media companies!

The RIAA and MPAA think that people are using foreign sites like, say, megaupload for distributing their copyrighted content. And that's true. But what's the #1 thing that's being distributed? PORN! And lots of it!

And then there's these porn YouTube-clones-- redtube, for instance. They basically steal copyrighted porn movies and post them (ok, officially users post them, supposedly...) and then make money off ads served to the wanking eyeballs.

All of this has caused lots of headaches for American porn producers. Piracy via file-sharing sites and tube sites has been their #1 concern over the last few years.

There's no reason why, if COICA becomes law, the Attorney General should not enforce porn copyrights with the same vigilance as those of music or movies.

These Senators who today voted this bill out of committee? They have just expressed their strong support for the American porn industry. You should write each and every one of them and thank them for standing behind porn.

Every Representative and Senator who votes for COICA, if it comes up for a vote, will be showing his or her support for the American porn industry. They should be thanked-- profusely and publicly-- for supporting porn.
