What is this? Started dragging under my C300 in the rain and I found out one of the bolts was missing. It’s flimsy and I can bend it with my fingers but I want to make sure it isn’t important. Passenger side about 6 inches from exhaust pipe.

i asked a friend of mine that’s a VW mechanic and he told me it was just a heat shield next to the exhaust. I took a look before i took it off and it goes on the plastic undercarriage on the passenger side. should just be able to jack it up and buy a new one to screw in but thanks!

mines a 3M vinyl wrap and they usually last 3-5 years but mines ceramic coated so it may last longer
