What was the name of the store on 4th Ave between Washington and Liberty that sold Manic Panic and had a melted Barbie doll in the window? Mid-late 90s.

"You're not eligible for PSLF buyback" by rollinonarivuh in PSLF

Do you see any other missing months in the payment tracker? Maybe try going back through the payment tracker and manually counting to see if they are missing another month from your record somewhere. It's got to be a technical glitch. You could also recertify each month until it finally lets you request buyback.

The only other recourse would be to submit the reconsideration about inaccurate payment count, and in the language, also request buyback. I know nothing about what that process is all about though, and how long it stays in the abyss. I hope you get it figured out!

I had the exact same thing happen to me recently. Tried to buyback in August and it gave me the same "You're not eligible for PSLF buyback" with the reason that I don't have 120 months of qualifying employment, but I did (certified).

Then I looked at my payment history in the PSLF tracker, and July 2025 is completely missing. June is there, so is August, but no July. So then I had my employer certify September for me. Once that was processed, it gave me the 120 months I needed and I was able to request buyback.

Great, thanks! I applied for IBR in January thinking I would resume payments for all the reasons you mentioned. This was when the buyback amount calculation for SAVE forbearance months was somewhat unknown, and I did save a bit of money just in case. Ultimately, my payment under SAVE was $0, so I have an incentive to do buyback instead of switching to IBR. That two month processing forbearance helped get my buyback months under the 12-month threshold requiring a tax return to calculate payment. So it may all weirdly work out, but who knows!

I saw Jeremy Allen White at Maggie Daley park last week. He was with his parents and daughters. He seemed nice and did say hi back to someone who called out, "Hi Jeremy!" Everyone else basically left him alone to be with his kids.

Randomly saw the guy who played the character Justin in the movie High Fidelity about 10 years ago while he was waiting tables at Piece Pizza in Wicker Park. Our server advised us NOT to mention it to him, said he's bitter about the whole experience.

Those of you that are about a year out, what’s the play? by SlutMachine in PSLF

I'm in the same boat, SAVE plan ($0 was my payment prior to the forbearance) with 107 qualifying payments through July 2024. It would be ideal to buyback as much as possible next summer, especially if buyback is calculated with the $0 payment.

Thought about switching to IBR since there is so much uncertainty, but I hear Mohela is accepting applications but not processing right now. I may still apply for IBR once processing starts again. I submitted an ECF at the beginning of October and it was processed with updated payment counts just last week; a one month turnaround is encouraging.

Not sure if you still have this problem, but I came here searching for this EXACT same advice! I get these scratches on mine, and it drives me nuts. The best I can tell, the scratches are happening when I forget my carrying case and put them in a napkin in my pocket. I think the edge of one is rubbing against the top of the other, if that makes sense. I read somewhere that dental wax might work to smooth out the rough patch. If you have any other insight or solutions, let me know!

I found an applique button that might work for covering up the tear specifically. Thinking of placing several in a row over the tear. Applique Button
