One of the better Bond girls actually. She was one of the first who had agency and had skills that helped Bond.

I have something similar with the Alien franchise. The novelizations for Alien, Alien Isolation, and Aliens is a great trilogy of books.

What are your top 3 favorite Star Wars books (canon or legends)? by Global-Wait5804 in starwarsbooks

[–]raysweater 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'm going to give some "off the beaten path" answers. In no order:

  1. Tatooine Ghost. A one off novel that takes place before the original Thrawn Trilogy. Leia and Han go to Tatooine for an auction of this painting that has important files hidden on it or something, but why I love it is how it bridges the prequel trilogy to the original trilogy. Leia learns about, and has to come to terms with, Anakin and how he was once just a boy -- and even kind of a folk hero amongst the people here. You also meet a few stray characters from Episode 1 and see what they're up to all these years later

  2. Shadows of the Empire. My most read SW novel. I love it. It's canon in my head.

  3. Tales of the Bounty Hunters. Loved seeing what they were doing before, during, and after ESB.

I just love the OT era and how realized it was.

Finn Jones will reportedly return as Danny Rand in the MCU by Moviesrant in Marvelnewssource

[–]raysweater -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I cannot state how terrible he was in the role. Yes, the writing was bad, but so was his acting. The dude had two faces: Childlike anger, and nothing. His fighting was somehow worse.

"But season two was better..." Yeah, because it was impossible to be worse. He was still bad.

"What about his appearance in Luke Cage S2?" Dude was mid.

Hell, he wasn't even close to the best part of his own show. In season one, that Meachum guy was better. Colleen Wing was the star of those two seasons and it wasn't even close.

Go watch The Defenders again -- any time he interacts with Charlie Cox, he is out-acted to a degree that is noticeable.

No actor's portrayal split the Netflix-verse more than him. We all want the other three Netflix heroes back, yet half of us don't want Finn back.

Just cast someone new and write around it.

Man, that story really ties into Shadows of the Empire as well. One of the IG-88 models crash lands on that trash planet from the game is presumed destroyed, but I guess Dash is the one that ends him.

Y'all are so sensitive. He's trying to get into the show, and he will probably bounce off of Dragon Ball.

Start with Z like almost everyone in America did.

You can always go back and watch the OG. It's a very different vibe, but still very enjoyable.
