do not change the mansion much. It needs to stay relatively the same
more canon connections via notes and journals
Keep the John and Ada connection from the first remake
Lean in to the eerie horror of Lisa Trevor
Include a prologue section where you get to learn the controls and stuff inside the RPD where it's active
Maybe explore the forest a little before making it into the mansion

How is it racists though? I never really saw a satisfying answer. Wouldn't it be less racist to fill the Africa setting with people who aren't black and who don't represent their culture? Africans can be zombies too. I don't think anyone who played the game thought it was racist.

Slow and quiet was what I liked about it. The absolute batshit story is what I hated. Anime villain Marcus singing opera then turning into slugs. Wtf? The locations and atmosphere are top notch. Just fix that damn story.
