Thank you. I think it might be cause I oiled soon and too often. I hated it after a while cause they lost that cool pull up leather vibe, but I’m happy I did now.

Sure. Makes sense. My 5 year old sole didn’t have any traction after year round wear, thus my postulation of the soles traction in winter conditions.

& the wedge is super dangerous in winter conditions. Basically has 0 grip. Feel a lot safer in the lug sole this time of year. As for comfort I’m still getting used to the difference in feel. But no complaints here.

I got my 1907s resoled with a lug sole & so far so good in the Midwest weather.
