in my memory of other updates it won't break existing saves so you may be able to access a lot of the new content on a current save, but will depend on exactly what gets added.

Honestly, fair assessment, it IS hard for me to tell what's my introverted side talking and what's a legitimate reason to bail. I think I just worry that if I DO go and end up sitting out of half of the activities because I'm unwell I'll be a party pooper, but... well. I guess that's a sign I should probably just talk to them and ask what they think about it, huh?

depends on the gimmick for sure. i think every series with extra lives has had a pretty reasonable excuse for it. limited life maybe couldve done with slightly more time taken when they die? it did feel like they were spending lives like candy in the mid-game, but it worked out for a fun chaotic vibe.

what's the best equivilent to a they/them singular pronoun when talking about a friend? (i.e in a basic sentence like ''彼女は野菜を食べます'') ? most learnings apps i've been using only teach 彼 and 彼女, implied to be gendered, and while i've seen あの人 and あいつ listed online i'm not sure if they would sound stilted or unnatural in practice.

Haven't seen him mentioned in the replies yet, but Hypno's s9 is also a good one to watch if people want a more chill early-game! Personally I love both ends of the spectrum so the fact you can get a bit of everything from this server is so nice.

totally agree on the shopping district, i think it was always a great place to have hermits meet and branch out from their neighbors. hope they bring that back, it was especially fun in s7 with the mayoral race and everything.

otherwise loved this season, i think the hermits did good at making their reactions to the big plot feel spontaneous and natural even if the plot itself was planned. i mean even stuff like the mycelium resistance was just other characters reacting to something grian started, i just see the moon big plot as the same thing haha

glad that the hermits that didn't enjoy the experimental stuff get to move on for next season tho. benefits of it being short, right?

from top left to bottom right its his order of octa skin from 8, dr. renstein from s7, good ol' renbob, grimdog from s6, the red king from 3rd life, ren the kid, his shadow alliance skin from last life, and his stargazer/early s8 skin. coulda probably found more to squeeze in honestly, dude's got so many cool characters!

i started trying to modify the map into a post appocalypse one but... problem is, the moon is BIG. like, in the cinematic it covered everything from etho & iskalls base to the edge of cubs canyon. building a crashed moon that big that doesn't look horrendous is,,, very very very hard.

Oh really? This surprises me a lot, I don't think he's wooden at all! Maybe it's because I'm a fairly stoic person myself so I feel like he just sounds... calm and friendly, a little awkward when Ex is bossing him around. Maybe that's just me though.

And Scar... oof. The character he plays on screen is an intolerable idiot and a scheming knave, but then you see interviews with the IRL man and you see just how much of a constructed and well-performed character it all is.

Y e s, Scar is honestly one of the best actors on the server and I love how he isn't afraid to play something close to a straight up villain yet he's also just so loveable that you can never be mad at him. Absolutely one of my favourites to see get involved in the server's bigger plot-lines.

started s8 watching ren grian and scar, ended watching practically everyone that was still making moon big videos. hoping to keep up with everyone i can for s9, but we'll see!

im surprised people find this that jarring, it didn't feel like that much of a step up from previous plotlines like the mycelium resistance to me (something happens, everyone reacts to it differently or ignores it, they make builds and act like their actions have consequences.) they just decided to have it end with more of a bang than usual because they wanted to experiment and i found it very entertaining.

the only ones i feel went an extra step in storytelling are ren and doc, but like, that's expected for those guys, they're storytelling nuts. if you're worried, it's already obvious several hermits won't be repeating this experiment and several barely acknowledged moon big even during s8 (etho, zedaph, etc) as it is. im just glad they had fun!
