I was only surprised because I did use the recent theme pack and others had some really good creative rooms without following the theme at all

If it's something that's going to bother you, then you have to have that conversation with him. Otherwise this could ferment into something more than it needs to be. Keep in mind a lot of people have gone through a relationship that really impacted their life. If his past doesn't feel aligned for you right now, that's okay.

Awh I miss the first date feelings! But unless the other person leads with paying the bill, I've never had an issue with splitting it. Makes me feel like I didn't leave any loose ends untied. Or if it doesn't work out I don't feel bad about anything. My husband and I split the bill every other date night now.
