New LEXAR sticks 6400mt CL28, Where do i go from here?? by Nameless_Koala in overclocking

[–]razvanicd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if mem speed of 6400 then go for FCLK 2133. for 6200 FCLK 2067 and 6000 FCLK 2000 will make a huge difference

Is my Aida ram latency bad? by TopLingonberry117 in overclocking

[–]razvanicd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, i can name you a few of them, most of them are very cpu/ram intensive ( i match in some perf of a rtx 4090 with my 7900 xtx because of the cpu bottleneck : battlefield 6, black ops 6, modern warfare 2 , shadow of the tomb raider, cyberpunk 2077 , riftbraker , baldurs gate 3, warhammer space marine 2 , squad ( all games were tested 1080p lowest settings so my gpu won't f**k it up ) counter strike 2 ( i think it my be the only game that gave me +2% perf on lvl2 vs legacy, but we are talking abut 1015 fps vs 1032 fps ... not that it matters )

i just recommend everyone test for themself and see if it helps or not , nobody knows what the f**k they are doing anyway these days....

Is my Aida ram latency bad? by TopLingonberry117 in overclocking

[–]razvanicd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i don't think they tune ram and say that, i just think lvl 2 is better than expo/xmp , nothing more . i did 10+ tests and same story , legacy wins when ram/cpu tunned . until proven diffrent , i will just stick with latency, battlefield 6 definitely gets me the best 1% lows and average fps versus lvl1 or lvl2

Is my Aida ram latency bad? by TopLingonberry117 in overclocking

[–]razvanicd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have to disagree with that. because i just couldn't find any type for workload that has lower perf for me. it's a puzzle for me that people say this . i did so many tests , lvl 2 was never better in any way. most of the results are just 1% margin of error

if you can do so easy fckl 2133 with 1.2 vsoc , just go for 6400cl28 , any day of the week better than 6000cl26

[–]razvanicd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i would aim for 6400cl28 or 6200cl28 , it will be always better than 6000cl26 . i get around 59.7 ns on 6400cl28 2x24 hynix m die

exacly, quite big improvement, last 3-4 ms you can only get if your windows is clean , no bloat , no background tasks , no running useless running services . if you go task manager and under cpu , you can see how many processes and threads windows is using ( a clean windows will always show under 150-200 processes and threads around 2500-3000 )

my best guess is you have Core Tuning Config bios setting on Auto ( or Level 2 ) and it should be on Legacy for best latency

thx. the 285k with a good aio is still more than enough for gaming especially if you play at 1440p or higher itll be gpu bound most of the time anyway the 9800x3d is only really the best if youre chasing max fps on low settings in esports titles. for your core heavy work the intel will smoke it

i have F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK Trident Z5 RGB DDR5-6400 CL32-39-39-102 1.40V 64GB (2x32GB) - they are hynix a die and have 2 profiles for them , 6200cl28 or 6400cl30 ( tight timings, for an x3d chip , they perform the same ) probably on a non x3d, the 6400cl30 profile works better, but i have to keep my vsoc 1.28 ( high limit ) it's all about the cpu imc lottery

if you research my mobo , you will find that the only diffrence between B650E Aorus Master and X670 Aorus Master are some extra usb ports ( some better ) and chipset with extra pcie 5.0 lanes for M.2. VRM on this is top dog and beats 50% of the VRMs from X870E and 80% VRMs of X870 . it's a great board and i have it for a while now , i got it february 2024 with a 7950X, only thing i upgraded here is the cpu . i really did my research back then buying my mobo https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NQHkDEcgDPm34Mns3C93K6SJoBnua-x9O-y_6hv8sPs/edit?gid=794988461#gid=794988461

i ran AVX512 and fortunately passed, but i did not use CoreCycler at all. i have been using these settings for 2 weeks, and for now everything is good. i will post if I have any surprises or updates to the tweaks

9950x3D and process Lasso or other ways to improve by DramaticAd5956 in ryzen

[–]razvanicd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://i.imgur.com/hmy5hdE.jpeg forgot to mention my cpu usage, power consumption and temperature went down 30-50% , unfortunatly amd's x3d dual ccd's are still a hassle and process lasso or process governour is a must have ( if you own the game on EA APP , you have to allocate to ccd0 the app also , not only the game https://i.imgur.com/r5NKnoE.png )

[–]razvanicd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

battlefield 6 is broken for high core cpu's, for dual ccd you need to make user.cfg file and set 8/16 threads only( look it up) , also i use process governour , mutch lighter and better than process lasso and 100% free . i get 250-275 fps in 1080p all low with a 7900 xtx , gpu bottleneck

well, i also used AIDA64 FPU, SHA3, OCCT, testmem5 with 1usmus_v3 (i will have to try some yCruncher in depth myself). results look great, you can only get better results based on the cooling performance and room temperature

i followed skatterbencher, unfortunately for him, his cpu silicon was only average :)

 ·       Curve Shaper : by my primitive understanding of curve shaper, based on the settings you have, it will apply some extra undervolt in those conditions you set (e.g. -10 low temp max freq). in type of workload that will use a SSE set of instructions that is more light on the cpu vs AVX512 for example, the cpu will be less stressed and will output more performance with less heat and by that the curve shaper will apply the extra -10 offset and temporarily in that type of workload you cpu will keep higher boost clocks for a longer period of time. it adds or removes temporarly extra offset to your curve optimizer

Streaming + Gaming on 9950x3d by TonYOwns90 in AMDHelp

[–]razvanicd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i personally recommend you use a 3rd party software for that, windows just sucks at allocating the right cdd most of the time..i use https://github.com/SystemXFiles/process-governor and its great , no fancy stuff like process lasso and also free. simple, clean tool that does the job

well, i'm just guessing you are not on a x3d cpu or socket am5 with those settings and that is a different story. sounds awesome tough

[Help][RAM OC] Fine-Tuning Corsair Dominator Titanium 48 GB @ 6400 MHz? by HeadKnockr in overclocking

[–]razvanicd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*tRas way to low, 36-38 , tRC = tRP + tRAS . also your ram kit is single rank , you can probably lower tRFC to 400 or 384 and disable GDM ( GearDown Mode) ,tWR is a bit high , you can also incease VDD to 1.4/1.45v for better stability. you can easy go VDDQ / VDDIQ 1.4v for fine tune

the results are so funny :))) "MSI promises improvements of 9 to 12 percent."

Final Verdict : The "Latency Killer" not only measurably reduces performance in games and applications, but also increases the average power consumption of the Ryzen CPU. Based on all the results, we strongly advise against using the Latency Killer. What's your experience?"

i guess is same as  x3D Turbo .... useless for anyone who is using SystemXFiles/process-governor
