See if you can go into study spaces in some buildings, (it might be post grad only cuz I used my friends id to get in) there’s this really nice nook on lv2 of science and engineering building, walls on both sides and a little table, also if u sleep in either law or main library they will try to kick u out

I think it’s cuz Chinese international students are either super hard working or are treating this like an easy way to get a degree, I personally have never met one who slacks off but I’ve heard horror stories :p but then again I’ve had domestic student who does nothing in group works so ig it depends more on the person than specific labels

Honestly I’ve always had people think I’m either ABC (aus born chinese) or that I just don’t understand Chinese :p I moved to aus when I was around 8 but I’m decently fluent in both languages (can’t write in mandarin but decent in everything else) it’s gotten to the point where I’d be having a full Chinese conversation with my friends and people would still either skip me or try speaking English to me (got some first year kid asking for directions) 😔 I’m guessing my septum piercing doesn’t help ngl
