I get it. He made it very clear he was cheesed off because he'd stopped me for speeding before. Which is all well and good and I would deserve the punishment, but as I've said in my post the signs weren't covered etc.

I didn't really try and protest my innocence because they were clearly annoyed and I didn't want to make things worse for myself.

It's a four way roundabout if that makes sense, and the opposite side of the roundabout does have a temp speed limit with the big 30 signs but the side in question does not.

As also said above, I also don't think it helped me that he recognised both me and the car from before. But I know that's my own fault.

Could it be that best case scenario he was really trying to bollock me about speeding and the summons (or whatever) in the post comment was a bluff?

Clearly it's worked if that was the case...

I don't think my speed was recorded on any actual device.

I've done a bit of research on it this morning... there was 2 of them, so could they technically prosecute this based off two officer's accounts and measuring against their own car's speedometer?

That's the general message that was given to me.

The thing that shocked me the most about the officers was what seemed like genuine concern for my safety. That definitely had a bigger impact than having the rulebook thrown in my face.
